1. JPETS Screening - Tuberculosis Screening Before Entering Japan

• The tuberculosis screening test required before entering Japan (JPETS) is a mandatory procedure for citizens of certain countries who intend to enter and stay in Japan for a medium- to long-term period. Applicants must provide documentation proving that they do not have tuberculosis, based on medical examinations such as a chest X-ray, conducted at an approved medical facility prior to arrival in Japan.
