1. Examination categories

The Diagnostic Imaging Department provides comprehensive X-ray and ultrasound services covering all parts of the body, from head to toe, and diagnoses the following conditions:

1. Fractures: Determining the location and severity of fractures
2. Osteoarthritis: Cartilage loss, bone spurs
3. Arthritis: Joint swelling, joint space narrowing
4. Osteoporosis: Decreased bone density
5. Bone tumors: Tumors within the bone
6. Bone deformities: Curved or twisted bones
7. Pneumonia: Blurred areas on X-rays
8. Tuberculosis: Characteristic lesions of tuberculosis
9. Pleural effusion: Uniform blurred areas on one side of the lung

2. When should you get an X-ray?

• Bone and joint disorders: Fractures, osteoporosis, arthritis, dislocations, bone tumors.
• Respiratory disorders: Pneumonia, tuberculosis, pleural effusion, lung cancer.
• Cardiovascular disorders: Enlarged heart, heart valve disease, pulmonary embolism.
• Digestive disorders: Kidney stones, gallstones, intestinal obstruction.
• Injuries: Fractures, dislocations, internal organ damage.
• Pre- and post-operative examinations: To assess pre-operative condition and monitor post-operative recovery.
• Routine examinations: To detect potential diseases early.
