This year, with the theme "Diabetes throughout the stages of life," WHO brings a message about the importance of ensuring that people with diabetes have access to comprehensive care services, a supportive environment, and humane health policies to promote physical and mental health and the ability to self-manage the disease throughout life.

In response to the 2025 message, DYM encourages everyone to take the initiative to have regular blood sugar checks, especially screening for diabetes, particularly for the following groups:

• Children & adolescents: Focus on early diagnosis and lifestyle education to prevent long-term complications.

• Pregnant women: Screening and strict management of gestational diabetes to protect the health of both mother and baby.

• Older adults: Comprehensive screening to prevent dangerous cardiovascular and neurological complications.
